We have being traveling to New South Wales numerous times to meet the demand of many communities and individuals to access Aboriginal traditional healing treatments. We are very grateful to all communities from the coast to inland for welcoming us in their countries.
We have established a strong and ongoing partnership with the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD). In 2017, Dr Clayton Spencer, District Director of Medical Services, initiated a process of consultation and engagement with several Aboriginal communities and health sites across his district. The ongoing engagement has resulted in bringing our Ngangkaṟi Clinics to several hospitals and health care services in the Western NSW region. We have visited and provided Ngangkaṟi healing treatments in public hospitals in Bathurst, Wellington, Forbes, Cowra, Walgett, Bourke, and Brewarrina. During these visits we have been honoured to spend time on country with the elders and community members, practising some cultural activities like hunting and sharing a great bush tucker meal !
During our trips in Western NSW, we visited the Peak Hill Aboriginal Medical Service where we provided Ngangkaṟi Clinics to the community and staff. Here, we were honoured to meet the elders and the local community. We were welcomed very warmly by everyone and we were very happy to be shown the town and surrounding areas.
In NSW, we have engaged with a range of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal organizations and health care services. We provided our Ngangkaṟi Services to staff, clients and and the general public at the Awabakal Medical Service (Newcastle), Central Coast Primary Care (Erina), Warruwi Gambling Help NSW (Newcastle), Petrozzi Wellness Centre (Sydney), Life without Barriers (Newcastle & Sydney), Care NSW (Sydney),Gudjagang Ngara li-dhi Aboriginal Corporation (Kanwal), Ngroo Education (Tregear), WASH House Inc. and the Shed (Mount Druitt).
